Dr John Lambert was recently appointed as Chief Executive Officer of pharmaceutical company Amplia Therapeutics in June of 2019.
Prior to this role he worked as Amplia’s Operations Manager since August 2018 and has been directing all aspects on the enabling work since then.
When asked about the appointment Chairman of Amplia Dr Warwick Tong spoke highly of Dr Lambert.
“The appointment of Dr Lambert as Chief Executive is another important step in the transformation of Amplia,” he said.
“John’s experience and enthusiasm makes him the ideal candidate to deliver the near and medium clinical development milestones we have set for the Company.”
Based in Melbourne Dr Lambert has worked in the drug discovery and development sectors for over 20 years.
His experience spans over the full drug development lifecycle from early discovery, intellectual property protection, licensing, product development and regulatory approval.
Dr Lambert’s previous roles have included Drug Development, Operations Management and Drug Discovery at Biota Pharmaceuticals, Senior Director at Medicines Development for Global Health, and academic researcher in medicinal and biological chemistry at Harvard University and the University of Melbourne.
He is also an experienced manager in both early and late development of therapeutics and has built and led multiple project teams with the objective of delivering proof-of-concept for new products.
