Mantle Minerals (ASX:MTL) has released results from recent aircore drilling at its Roberts Hill project in Western Australia.

The drilling covered an area of 2.0 kilometres by 2.75 kilometres and unearthed nine new mineralised holes within the zone.

These findings have prompted the company to consider deeper reverse circulation (RC) drilling to further explore the potential.

Geological analysis identified favourable rock types with potential for gold intersections, and upcoming XRF analysis will confirm this potential.

The most impressive intersection was 12 metres at 0.48 grams per tonne gold in hole MMAC 129. This included a high-grade section of four meters at 1.03 grams per tonne outside the primary zone, hinting at a potential new exploration area.

The next steps involve XRF analysis on all significant intersections to determine arsenic content and identify rock types.

The aircore program completed 175 holes out of the planned 197, covering 13,478 metres of the intended 15,000 metres.

All samples have been submitted for gold content determination through the fire assay method.

Following these results, the remaining sample material will undergo XRF analysis for arsenic and other elements.

Sample selection will be based on gold content and geological significance, with results expected in the coming month.
